Description

Amazing original top-quality gem made in Detroit by the Packard Motor Car Company and one of the very few sold in Canada and previously registered in Quebec

  • It is thought that a very high-end salesman in Quebec purchased this 86-year-old vehicle and gently used as his sales vehicle before WWII
  • A collector’s dream in original condition, ready for a light restoration or resto-mod upgrade. Licensed, registered, and insured in Alberta.
  • Packard made a high-quality product and stayed ahead of other manufacturers with many leading-edge advancements. Packard had the reputation of being America’s premier luxury marque. The Packard 6-cylinder was introduced in 1937.
  • The Packard slogan at the time was: “Ask a man who owns one”, because they were so confident in the quality of their product; and they indeed made what was considered by many the best car available.
  • This incredible Packard motorcar is considered ‘investment-grade’ and is a rare, desirable business coupe (a top-of-the-line motorcar make, in a very rare business coupe model)
  • A step back in time with classic elegance of the golden era, in a vehicle that captures the essence of pre-war top-quality all-steel automobile craftsmanship
  • Classic upscale chrome split-grill topped off witha  Packard wing radiator cap
  • Perfectly operating three-speed synchromesh manual column-shift transmission. Drives well.
  • Four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes; Independent front suspension with coil springs
  • Finished in a deep burgundy-purple colour, in excellent condition, no rust. Nice finish and good sheen.
  • Both front and rear windows are split windows
  • Two-seat bench seat, with folding ‘opera’ seats in rear. Grey-beige cloth material. Nice headliner, except for one very small tear. Seat belts are installed.
  • Huge trunk for salesman’s supplies, with two levels, one for the spare tire
  • Original straight inline 6 cylinder 245ci engine, with PACKARD stamped right on top, runs & drives well.
  • Original Packard-6 hub caps on body-colour wheels with chrome beauty rings & period correct wide white wall tires
  • Upgraded with factory Packard clock in glove box door. All gauges work well.
  • Odometer reads 54,188 miles, which is believed to be the original mileage
  • Re-chromed bumpers, bumperettes & muffler exhaust flair tip

This is one of the finest Packard 110s in original, unmolested condition that you’ll ever find, plus on top of that, with the limited number of Business Coupes produced, it is thought that there are likely only a small number remaining. A solid, rare, and beautiful example of a top-quality & limited production piece of American craftsmanship.
